The Story of LYS
LYS was founded by a Copenhagen-based designer lovingly known as “Lys,” meaning "light" in Danish—a name that captures her vision for a brighter, more mindful world. With roots in Scandinavian craftsmanship and a passion for sustainable design, she discovered the creative potential of 3D printing and set out to reimagine accessories.
In 2020, driven by a desire to break free from the wasteful cycles of fast fashion, Lys created LYS, a brand committed to making eco-friendly, made-to-order accessories. Each piece is crafted from corn-based PLA, a sustainable alternative to conventional plastic.
Today, from her studio in Copenhagen, Lys balances creativity with environmental advocacy. For her, LYS is more than a brand—it’s a way to bring beauty, responsibility, and a little more light into the world.
